HOOray for Boobies -- The Etsy OWLS Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In case you hadn't noticed, October has a new color trumping orange -- Pink! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so the girls of etsyOWLS decided to create some items and sell them in our team shop to benefit breast cancer research. 100% of the proceeds from these items will go straight to charity! This is a cause that means a lot to us, myself in particular, as my grandmother was a breast cancer survivor, and I have known many women and their families and friends, both directly and indirectly, who have suffered from this disease. We hope we have done the cause justice with our pieces.

lalala Almost Famous at CCD'08

On September 20, 2008, I participated in Coopersburg Community Day, in Coopersburg, PA. Here are the crafters, almost famous, on YouTube! I am the 8th crafter featured.



Also featured are some friends of mine... Jane of Contemporary Concepts Photography
was, basically, behind me. We were able to cut through the cars and keep each other company! She is the 3rd booth featured. And Erica & Nate of Urban Cottage Coalition

I love me a Fall Wedding!

Unfortunately, I hear no wedding bells in my near future -- but browsing on Etsy makes me wish I did, because I'd get everything I needed there! My favorite weddings are Fall weddings -- especially when they are outside amongst the changing leaves and beautiful blue skies of late September and October! Even better -- at the beach! My oldest sister had her ceremony in Cape Cod, MA, and my second oldest sister had hers on Long Beach Island, NJ -- boy, were they amazing! Some News, Some Thoughts, and... a Treasury!

Hello lovelies! First thought on the agenda: I sell my wares at a store right here in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, called UnderWired, so named because it is located in the basement of the Wired Gallery on Main Street. And if you didn't already know that (shame on you), you should go check it out. Nowhere near me? Well, that could prove to be problematic, but in the meantime you can check out their hot new website . If you ARE local, get your booty over to the store ASAP and treat yourself to some vintage goodies, some of my jewelry, and maybe a coffee and a brownie (from Vegan Treats) up in the Wired Cafe before you go!

Second thought: If you haven't befriended me on Myspace, you better hop to it because the first Myspace Secret Sale is coming up soon! I can't tell you when because then it won't be a secret :) Locals have already missed out on a coupon to a venue I was selling at, and you could redeem yourself by checking
my Myspace blog and/or bulletins before September 20th (date of my second venue this month). You can also check out my friends on there, because they are an awesome group, including several cool Etsy Artists.
