Walk Now For Autism Lehigh Valley is this Saturday! 4/18/09

"Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls...Currently, there are no effective means to prevent autism, no fully effective treatments, and no cure. " -- quoted from Autism Speaks, Be Informed.

The EtsyOWLs have created some beautiful items with these facts in mind, and
100% OF YOUR PURCHASE OF ANY OF THESE ITEMS WILL BE CONTRIBUTED TOWARDS AUTISM RESEARCH AND AWARENESS! We have beautiful jewelry, original artwork, and fun stuffies! Be sure to check it all out!

Autism Speaks' Walk Now for Autism, the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program, takes place in communities across the United States, as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom. Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this successful grassroots fundraising effort not only generates vital funds for autism research but also raises awareness about the increasing prevalence of autism and the need for increased research funding to combat this complex disorder. I have cheered my fiance and his work team on from the sidelines in the past, but this year I will be participating in the Walk as well!

If you would like more information about Autism Speaks, the Walk, or to make a donation, you can do so by visiting the website. Visit the EtsyOWLs shop here to see all of the items up close, and make a purchase! Thanks for your help!
